Description:

Job Summary

  • Perform radiographic procedures to obtain diagnostic results as per physician specifications.
  • Transfer patients for examinations and assist with the X-ray process.
  • Operate X-ray imaging and related equipment appropriately.
  • Educate, position, and immobilize patients for X-ray procedures.
  • Ensure timely, high-quality, and continuous patient care during X-ray examinations.
  • Follow provider imaging orders accurately and submit images for radiologist interpretation.
  • Evaluate image quality and maintain open communication with patients, coworkers, radiologists, and leadership.
  • Utilize and maintain department supplies, practice sterile techniques, and adhere to infection prevention policies.
  • Administer contrast as per radiologist protocol and follow radiation safety measures (ALARA).
  • Supervise and evaluate student radiographers in clinical settings.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in radiologic technology.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills in a multi-functional environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced, service-oriented setting.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite.

Required Certifications & Licensure

  • Registration with The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • CT certification.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.

Additional Information

  • Pay range: $55/hr - $74/hr (may vary based on supplier and benefits).
