Description:

Job Summary:
Provide diagnostic Computed Tomography (CT) services to inpatients, outpatients, and Emergency Department patients under the supervision of a radiologist. Ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective CT services in compliance with clinical protocols and operating procedures.

Job Responsibilities:
- Position patients correctly using proper immobilization techniques.
- Perform optimal scans using appropriate technical factors and protocols based on patient diagnosis and history.
- Minimize radiation exposure while ensuring diagnostic-quality scans in accordance with American College of Radiology (ACR) standards.
- Follow CT Department workflow, including patient identification, history acquisition, order verification, scanning, PACS image transfer, and documentation.
- Initiate IVs for contrast media administration following department policies and standard precautions.
- Explain procedures to patients, address questions, and provide updates on delays.
- Monitor patient condition during CT procedures and assist with patient transfers.
- Document patient history, lab values, allergies, and other relevant information to ensure exam appropriateness.
- Charge for supplies and document any unusual occurrences, allergic reactions, or IV extravasations.
- Maintain inventory levels and notify personnel when supplies need replenishment.
- Operate CT equipment effectively to produce high-quality images.
- Demonstrate teamwork and cooperation with colleagues.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience.
- Certificate of Completion in Radiologic Technology or College Diploma in a related field.
- BLS - AHA certification.
- Licensed Radiologic Technologist - Radiography (IEMA).
- ARRT - Radiography (R).
- Certified Nerve Conduction Technologist (CNCT) OR Registered in Computed Tomography (CT) with ABEM or ARRT.
