Job Summary:
Under general supervision, performs computerized tomographic (CT) radiological procedures and may conduct general diagnostic radiology exams. Ensures high-quality imaging and patient care while adhering to safety protocols.
Essential Functions:
- Explain examination procedures and prepare patients.
- Review clinical data and perform appropriate examinations.
- Prepare procedure rooms and maintain stock of supplies.
- Analyze patient anatomy, set up equipment, and perform CT scans.
- Administer intravenous contrast media and monitor for reactions.
- Assist radiologists with complex sterile diagnostic procedures (e.g., biopsies).
- Ensure radiation protection practices (e.g., shielding, ALARA techniques).
- Manage PACS and RIS systems for image quality and study documentation.
- Follow clinical protocols and document all necessary information in medical and radiology systems.
- Demonstrate customer service excellence, teamwork, and professionalism.
Physical Demands/Working Conditions:
- Work in hospital or mobile units.
- Potential exposure to radiation, high-voltage equipment, and contagious patients.
- Occasionally lift/move equipment or patients exceeding 10 lbs.
Required Education:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Maintain required hours of continued medical education.

Required Certification & Licensure:
- Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) and advanced registry in Computed Tomography (CT) or registry-eligible.
