Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing nursing care and ensuring patient safety during endoscopic and/or invasive procedures, with or without sedation. This role requires critical thinking, interpersonal skills, and efficiency. The RN serves as a resource for students and new caregivers and participates in quality improvement initiatives.

Job Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Pre-operative care RN to assess patient needs and procedure requirements.
- Perform ongoing assessments and document changes from baseline status.
- Develop, implement, and communicate individualized plans of care.
- Respond to patient comfort needs and health information requests.
- Apply principles of aseptic practice and monitor compliance within the surgical team.
- Educate and reassure patients and families.
- Utilize evidence-based research to enhance patient outcomes.
- Evaluate the quality and effectiveness of nursing care.
- Document equipment usage and assist with inventory management.
- Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCL Health.
- Float to other departments or nursing units as needed.
- Participate in on-call duties during scheduled shifts.

Required Qualifications:
- ASN or Nursing Diploma.
- Current RN license in the state of practice.
- BLS (AHA) certification.
- ACLS (AHA) certification.
- Valid compact licenses must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of employment.
- Experience with GI equipment tech operations.
- Ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team.
- Proficiency in reading, interpreting, and presenting technical information.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Regular attendance during scheduled business hours or shifts.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.
