Job Summary:
- Perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical tasks in line with state Board of Nursing standards.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care.
- Collect and assess health data to evaluate patient health status.
- Provide health teaching, counseling, and supportive/restorative therapy and treatment.
- Consult, delegate, supervise, or teach others as needed for patient care.
- Execute delegated medical functions and refer patients for further evaluation or treatment as necessary.
- Review and monitor therapy and treatment plans, ensuring proper documentation per hospital and regulatory guidelines.
- Utilize resources effectively and promote the mission, vision, and values of SCL Health.
- May float to other departments or be placed on-call during scheduled shifts based on business needs.
Required Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing (ASN).
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Advanced certifications (ACLS, NRP, PALS) as appropriate for the unit or service.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN).
- Previous experience as a Registered Nurse.
- Additional certifications relevant to the unit or service.
