Job Summary:
- Provide direct patient care using the nursing process: assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document patient needs and responses.
- Ensure safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, and equitable care.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams to coordinate care.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and document per policy.
- Identify and address patient and family learning and discharge needs throughout care.
- Supervise LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel.
- Complete patient population, age-specific, procedure, and protocol education and competency testing as required.
Floating Requirement: Must float between departments or local locations within a 20-mile radius.
Required Education:
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN).
Preferred Education: None specified.
Required Certifications & Licensure:
- State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License.
- BLS certification (must be completed through American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross).
Preferred Certifications & Licensure:
- ACLS and PALS certifications preferred.
