Job Summary:
- Provide nursing care to acutely ill patients under the supervision of nurse leaders.
- Perform the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Adhere to ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, ANA Code of Ethics, and California Nurse Practice Act.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Monitor patient status, anticipate changes, and activate emergency protocols as needed.
- Ensure compliance with infection control policies, medication administration standards, and controlled substance regulations.
- Participate in professional development, staff meetings, and nursing governance councils.
- Maintain knowledge of current nursing practices and adhere to hospital policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications:
- 3 years of nursing experience.
- Valid and unrestricted State of California Registered Nurse (RN) License.
- Current American Heart Association certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
- Knowledge of advanced nursing theory, techniques, medical terminology, instruments, and medication effects.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program with a bachelor’s or associate degree.
