Job Summary:
- Provide competent and appropriate nursing care across the continuum of care for surgical patients, from Pediatric to Geriatric.
- Perform thorough assessments, including pre-operative and post-operative evaluations, and document patient progress accurately.
- Demonstrate clinical skills in direct patient care, emergency procedures, and use of surgical equipment.
- Ensure patient satisfaction by maintaining professionalism, confidentiality, and effective communication with patients, families, and co-workers.
- Follow National Patient Safety Goals, including Universal Protocol and proper patient identification.
- Support Pre Admission Testing (PAT) by evaluating orders and ensuring timely completion of patient testing.
Required Qualifications:
- Active RN License.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Perioperative Nurse (CNOR) certification.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
