Job Summary

• Perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in line with state Board of Nursing standards.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care.
• Collect and assess health data to evaluate patient health status.
• Provide health teaching, counseling, therapy, and restorative treatment directly or through consultation, delegation, supervision, or teaching.
• Execute delegated medical functions and refer patients for further evaluation or treatment as needed.
• Monitor and review therapy and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with hospital and regulatory guidelines.
• Document patient care and use resources effectively.
• Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCL Health and adhere to service behavior standards.
• Float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications based on business needs.
• May be required to be on-call during scheduled shifts.

Required Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing (ASN).
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN).
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification.
• Previous experience as a Registered Nurse.
