Job Summary:
- Assist with patient care, including venipuncture, EKGs, vital signs, and specimen collection.
- Support physicians during procedures and relay instructions to patients and families.
- Perform clerical tasks such as managing medical records, completing forms, and using EMR systems.
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms and instruments following sterilization protocols.
- Monitor and log refrigeration, medications, and sterilization processes.
- Ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and legal regulations.
- Schedule surgeries/procedures and manage patient appointments and insurance information.
- Perform proficient phlebotomy duties as required.
- Adapt to a dynamic and evolving work environment.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED.
- Completion of an approved Medical Assistant certificate course.
- BLS certification (AHA).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA).
- Experience with electronic medical records or billing systems.
Work Environment:
- General office environment with light physical activity.
- Exposure to potentially hazardous substances; adherence to PPE requirements is mandatory.
