Description:
Job Summary
Assist nursing personnel in providing care to residents within the scope of certification and training.
Report to RN on duty and Director of Nursing (DON).
Demonstrate behavior consistent with HRH Mission, Vision, Values, and Core Values.
Support HRH goals and quality improvement processes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Provide ADL care including oral hygiene, grooming, dressing, bathing, range of motion, ambulation, and dining.
Deliver care according to individualized care plans while respecting resident dignity and privacy.
Encourage independence and offer choices to residents.
Adhere to resident rights during care and communication.
Respond promptly to call lights.
Communicate changes in resident condition to staff nurse in a timely manner.
Document and chart as per ECU policies and procedures.
Collaborate with Interdisciplinary Team to establish individualized care plans.
Promote and assist residents in activities of interest.
Maintain cleanliness of wheelchairs and adaptive equipment.
Report unsafe or non-working equipment to maintenance.
Use required safety equipment appropriately (e.g., gait belts, goggles, lifts).
Physical Demands
Frequent lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs; occasional lifting over 100 lbs.
Standing, walking, sitting, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, filing, typing, and talking.
Required Qualifications
CNA certification in the state of practice.
BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
Experience as a CNA in an extended care or long-term care (LTC) setting.
Ability to read and write to fulfill documentation requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
At least one year of experience in a healthcare setting.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Additional Information
Pay range: $27 - $37 per hour.
Benefits may include stipends (for clinical traveler workers), medical, dental, vision, and 401K.
