Job Summary

• Perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical tasks per state Board of Nursing standards.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care.
• Collect and assess health data to evaluate patient health status.
• Provide health teaching, counseling, and supportive/restorative therapy and treatment.
• Consult, delegate, supervise, or teach others as needed.
• Execute delegated medical functions and refer patients for further evaluation or treatment as necessary.
• Review and monitor therapy and treatment plans.
• Document care in compliance with hospital and regulatory guidelines.
• Utilize resources effectively and promote the mission, vision, and values of SCL Health.
• Float to other departments as needed (within scope of competency and qualifications).
• Be available for on-call duties during scheduled shifts.

Required Qualifications

• Two (2) years of nursing experience.
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ASN) from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN).
• Previous experience as a Registered Nurse.
