Interventional Technologist - 4X10's
Required: BLS / ACLS required
Manager WILL consider candidates with NO Travel and NO Trauma experience
call as needed, rotating day off per week
Candidates must have completed one of the following ( entry into practice) education programs :
*Associate Degree or above program in Radiologic Technology OR *2 year RCIS program ( specific program taken must be clearly noted on resume)
Job Summary:
The Interventional Technologist I supports physicians in performing minimally invasive, image-guided procedures to diagnose, monitor, and treat various conditions. This role is ideal for those gaining experience in Interventional Radiology or Invasive Cardiology or experienced imaging professionals transitioning into this field.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist providers with procedures such as cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology, angiography, device implantation, biopsies, thrombectomy, embolization, and pain management.
- Operate specialized radiologic equipment and techniques for diagnostic and interventional procedures.
- Ensure patient safety and maintain high-quality standards during procedures.
- Prepare patients for procedures and provide comfort and support.
- Act as a scrub tech and maintain a sterile field during procedures.
- Communicate with patients and families about procedures and timelines for results.
- Collaborate with team members and providers to deliver exceptional patient care.
- Perform post-procedure quality reviews and ensure documentation meets standards.
- Transfer images and data to electronic health systems and prepare studies for physician reporting.
- Conduct equipment maintenance, quality control checks, and cleaning per guidelines.
- Participate in quality assurance, audits, and performance improvement tasks.
- Provide on-call clinical coverage as assigned, including weekends and holidays.
- Support academic partnerships by teaching radiologic program students.
- Mentor and onboard new team members.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Education:
- Graduate of a post-secondary health science program (e.g., cardiovascular technology, ultrasound, radiologic technology, or paramedic/EMT) as defined by ARRT or CCI.
- Completion of a JRCERT-accredited Military Educational Program is acceptable.
Required Certifications & Licensure:
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association upon hire.
- ARRT(RT), RCES, or RCIS certification required within 18 months of hire.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in neurology and vascular procedures.
- Willingness to extend contracts.
