Job Summary:
- Provide patient and family-centered care to achieve individualized, holistic goals.
- Perform nursing processes including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of safe, therapeutic care.
- Promote quality outcomes and collaborate with healthcare team members for complex or high-risk situations.
- Act as a patient and family advocate to ensure excellent care and satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess patient and family needs, identifying and prioritizing goals.
- Develop and document individualized plans of care in collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Implement and adapt care plans using appropriate nursing interventions.
- Evaluate patient and family progress toward goals and adjust plans as needed.
- Identify and address educational needs, using adult-learning principles and appropriate resources.
- Recognize and address communication barriers, adapting interventions to meet diverse needs.
- Delegate and assign tasks to team members within their scope of practice.
- Coordinate and communicate with healthcare team members to ensure seamless patient care.
Licensure and Certifications:
- Active California RN license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA).
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of three years of recent RN experience.
- At least two years of recent experience in a specialty area.
