Job Summary:

  • Provide patient and family-centered care to achieve individualized, holistic goals.
  • Perform nursing processes including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of safe, therapeutic care.
  • Promote quality outcomes and collaborate with healthcare team members for complex or high-risk situations.
  • Act as a patient and family advocate to ensure excellent care and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess patient and family needs, identifying and prioritizing goals.
  • Develop and document individualized plans of care in collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Implement and adapt care plans using appropriate nursing interventions.
  • Evaluate patient and family progress toward goals and adjust plans as needed.
  • Identify and address educational needs, using adult-learning principles and appropriate resources.
  • Recognize and address communication barriers, adapting interventions to meet diverse needs.
  • Delegate and assign tasks to team members within their scope of practice.
  • Coordinate and communicate with healthcare team members to ensure seamless patient care.

Licensure and Certifications:

  • Active California RN license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA).
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of three years of recent RN experience.
  • At least two years of recent experience in a specialty area.
