Job Summary:
Provide professional nursing care to pediatric dialysis patients, ensuring alignment with OU Health values and nursing practice standards. Responsible for patient care, documentation, medication administration, and collaboration with physicians and support staff.
Job Responsibilities:
- Deliver competent patient care and document responses to interventions and treatments.
- Assist physicians with examinations, minor diagnostic procedures, and treatments.
- Administer prescribed medications and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products.
- Monitor and respond to patients' physiological data and manifestations.
- Resolve patient complaints and share care plans with patients and families during care and discharge.
- Make referrals to appropriate personnel for patient care needs.
- Foster professional growth through mentorship, feedback, and maintaining certifications/licensure.
- Develop a career plan and set performance goals aligned with organizational metrics.
- Promote an inclusive workplace and delegate tasks to clinical support staff as needed.
- Provide learning opportunities for others through formal and informal feedback.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Education:
- Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
Required Certifications & Licensure:
- Current Registered Nurse License (Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or multistate compact RN license).
- Basic Life Support (American Heart Association) certification upon hire.
