Description:

Job Summary

  • Perform radiographic procedures to obtain diagnostic results as per physician specifications.
  • Transfer patients for examinations and assist with the X-ray process.
  • Operate X-ray imaging and related equipment appropriately.
  • Educate, position, and immobilize patients for X-ray procedures.
  • Ensure timeliness, quality, and continuity of patient care during X-ray examinations.
  • Submit required images and clinical information to the Radiologist for interpretation.
  • Evaluate image quality and maintain open communication with patients, coworkers, Radiologists, and leadership.
  • Follow sterile techniques and infection prevention policies.
  • Administer contrast as per Radiologist protocol and adhere to radiation safety measures (ALARA).
  • Supervise and evaluate Student Radiographers in clinical settings.

Required Qualifications

  • Effective and diplomatic communication skills within a multi-functional team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.
  • Proficiency in computer usage, including Microsoft Office Suite, and ability to learn relevant applications.

Required Certifications & Licensure

  • Registration with The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • CT certification.
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association.

  • A personal radiation monitoring badge (dosimeter) is required for this assignment. Providers are encouraged to use an existing badge from a previous employer or assignment when available. If a new badge is issued, prior exposure history will not be reflected.
