Job Summary

• Provide technical support in the cardiac catheterization laboratory during invasive cardiovascular procedures.
• Assist physicians in radiological imaging of cardiac and vascular procedures, acting as a scrub assistant while maintaining sterile conditions.
• Operate imaging equipment and monitor/document procedure images and events in the control room.
• Educate patients and families about procedures, including pre- and post-procedure expectations and physical conditions.
• Maintain order and cleanliness of the unit, ensuring appropriate stock levels for interventions and diagnostic procedures.
• Complete daily, progress, and discharge documentation according to departmental standards.
• Participate in quality and patient safety initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and potential safety hazards.
• Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCL Health, adhering to service behavior standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Registered ARRT or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Technologist (RCIS) within 18 months of hire.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist with CV-specific certification, RCIS, or RCES.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Current ACLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association.
• Fluoroscopy Certification.
• Radiation badges supplied by the vendor.

Preferred Qualifications

• Two (2) years of experience in Cardiology/Cath Lab.
• Associate’s degree.
