Perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical tasks in line with state Board of Nursing standards.
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care.
Collect and assess health data to evaluate patient health status.
Provide health teaching, counseling, and supportive/restorative therapy and treatment.
Consult, delegate, supervise, or teach others as needed for patient care.
Execute delegated medical functions and refer patients for further evaluation or treatment as necessary.
Review and monitor therapy and treatment plans.
Document care in compliance with hospital and regulatory guidelines.
Utilize resources effectively to support patient care.
Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCL Health and adhere to service behavior standards.
Perform other duties as assigned, including floating to other departments (within scope) and being on-call during scheduled shifts.
Required Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing (ASN).
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications as appropriate for the unit.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN).
Previous experience as a Registered Nurse.
Additional certifications relevant to the unit or service.
