Job Summary

• Perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical tasks in line with state Board of Nursing standards.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care.
• Collect and assess health data to evaluate patient health status.
• Provide health teaching, counseling, therapy, and restorative treatment directly or indirectly.
• Execute delegated medical functions and refer patients for further evaluation or treatment as needed.
• Monitor and review therapy and treatment plans.
• Document patient care in compliance with hospital and regulatory guidelines.
• Utilize resources effectively and promote the mission, vision, and values of SCL Health.
• Float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications based on business needs.
• May be required to be on-call during scheduled shifts.

Required Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing (ASN).
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Additional certifications (ACLS, NRP, PALS) as appropriate for unit or service.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN).
• Previous experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Certification relevant to unit or service.
