Job Summary:
- Evaluate patients and assist physicians with patient care.
- Plan, implement, and document nursing care based on patient needs.
- Identify patient needs and prioritize care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
- Develop and coordinate individualized care plans through initial and ongoing assessments.
- Perform therapeutic nursing interventions and manage patient care.
- Document care based on standards of practice, patient acuity, and clinical priorities.
- Advocate for evidence-based practices and support innovations in care delivery.
- Provide patient-centric care aligned with the professional nursing practice model.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Two (2) years of experience in acute adult oncology, specializing in leukemia and lymphoma, in an inpatient setting.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
- New Jersey State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Telemetry certification.
- Chemo Certification with Oncology Nursing Society (ONS).
