Job Summary

• Utilize appropriate kV and mA techniques to ensure quality diagnostic CT images.
• Perform daily quality control calibration checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning.
• Administer radioactive material to patients as per physician’s orders and prescribed protocols.
• Maintain department documentation, including logs, manuals, charge documents, and equipment problem reports.
• Conduct quality control, quality assurance, and safety tests while adhering to radiation safety guidelines (ALARA principle).
• Manage patient films and electronic data for Radiologist interpretation.
• Order patient-specific radiopharmaceutical doses one day prior to use.
• Verify radiopharmaceutical delivery and activity levels before administration.
• Perform CT procedures according to prescribed protocols for uniformity and accuracy.
• Assess and respond to patient needs before, during, and after visits in the Radiology department.

Required Qualifications

• New York State License (L.R.T).
• ARRT certification in Radiography and CT.
• BLS certification.
• At least 1 year of CT experience.
• Graduate of Radiologic Technologist program.
