Provide administrative and secretarial support to attending physicians, including answering phones, taking messages, and responding to inquiries about departmental procedures and services.
Perform personalized and confidential secretarial duties under the direction of attending physicians.
Handle patient calls, schedule appointments, and manage requests for information or contact with physicians and staff.
Schedule patients in MOSAIQ/ARIA for departmental and external services, including consultations, follow-ups, simulations, and procedures. Initiate pre-authorization processes when necessary.
Complete hospital registration for new patients in Eagle, transfer demographic information to MOSAIQ/ARIA, and prepare department registration in advance of consultations.
Prepare and maintain patient charts, ensuring all required records and study results are available for consultations and follow-ups.
Obtain demographic and financial information from patients and families professionally and discreetly.
Establish and maintain office records, documents, and files. Perform photocopying and prepare correspondence as needed.
Provide coverage for other support staff responsibilities when required.
Maintain good attendance, punctuality, and a positive attitude while representing the department professionally.
Demonstrate problem-solving skills, the ability to work independently, and the capacity to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Perform additional duties as assigned or necessary.
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Three to five years of secretarial experience.
Ability to type 75 words per minute.
Proficiency in computer literacy, including word-processing and presentation software.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of personnel.
