Job Summary:
The nurse administrator is responsible for the overall management and coordination of functions for Health Services including Home Health, Assisted Living Center, Supportive Living Center, and Short-Term Rehabilitation Center.
Responsible for supporting medical care and services within the Health Service department in alignment with organizational philosophy, mission, values, and goals.
Accountable for managing within the broader organizational context while transforming values into daily operations to ensure efficiency, effectiveness, and compassionate care delivery.
Oversees clinical nursing practice and manages programs, systems, and services that are evidence-based and support nursing practices.
Responsible for developing, implementing, maintaining, and evaluating policies, programs, and services including nursing workload, budget planning, and workforce management.
Participates in environmental assessment, trend forecasting, communication, mentoring, resource management, and ensuring implementation of core organizational values.
Interacts closely with residents, family members, and visitors while adhering to established nursing standards and regulatory requirements.
Participates in or leads committees essential to Health Services operations and organizational goals.
Job Responsibilities:
-Manage and coordinate all Health Services functions across multiple care units.

-Oversee clinical nursing practices and ensure evidence-based program implementation.
-Develop and manage policies, programs, and services related to healthcare delivery.
-Lead annual budget planning and workforce planning initiatives.
-Drive recruitment and retention strategies for healthcare staff.
-Assess care environments and forecast healthcare trends for continuous improvement.
-Communicate organizational values and mentor healthcare staff.
-Manage resources efficiently to support operational excellence.
-Ensure compliance with nursing standards and regulatory requirements.
-Engage with residents, families, and stakeholders to enhance care experience.
-Lead or participate in committees to support Health Services operations.
Required Skills & Experience:
-Three (3) years of experience in nursing service administration with line management responsibilities.
-Ability to work independently.
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with residents, families, and staff.
-Strong problem-solving skills with ability to collect, compare, sort, and prioritize information.
-Ability to make effective decisions for groups of residents and workers.
-Ability to adapt to unpredictable situations and manage stress effectively.
-Successful management experience.
-Flexibility in working hours.
-Willingness to actively engage at clinical, administrative, and managerial levels.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
-Previous experience in long term care, home health or acute care nursing.
Heavy experience with Senior Living
Required Education:
-Master’s degree in nursing.
OR
-Bachelor’s degree in nursing with a Master’s degree in business or a health-related field.
-Will consider candidates who commit to completing the required degree within six (6) months from application date.
Preferred Education:

Required Certifications & Licensure:
-Current RN license.
OR
-Current license deemed acceptable by the applicable State Board of Nursing.
-Eligibility for TN sponsorship requiring state licensure and completion of VisaScreen or equivalent certification.
Preferred Certifications & Licensure:
-Nursing Home Administrator license/Assisted Living license.
-Will consider candidates willing to pursue licensure within one (1) year.
-Gerontological Certification.
