Job Summary: The Sr. Compensation Analyst consults with assigned business units on issues relating to new positions, equity issues, new hire rates, wage and hour and policy questions. Essential Duties: -Develops and interprets compensation policies. -Provides analytical compensation support to the Compensation Staff through the use of established compensation evaluation systems, analytics, design, and reporting. -Analyzes and evaluates market surveys to ensure market competitiveness of Hoag positions. -Manages job descriptions for assigned client group. -Ensure job descriptions meet regulatory requirements. -Participates in major Compensation projects, including the Reach program and other initiatives supporting performance management and HR automation. -Stays current with federal, state, and local compensation laws and regulations in order to ensure organization compliance. -Lead major Compensation projects such as managing organization-wide wage adjustments and focal review process, including management communications. -Researches, proposes and designs salary structure, base pay and incentive programs in order to be responsive to the organization’s goals and competitive practices and enhance performance management.
Provides administrative and secretarial support for the Vice President, Medical Director for the Women’s Health Institute (WHI). Position also provides support for medical staff members of the OB/GYN Department. Is responsible for screening information and directing flow of information to appropriate personnel. Provides project support as needed. Is responsible for time and attendance for the Labor and Delivery Department and provides administrative assistance to that unit. Works with the VP and Executive Medical Director of the WHI with various projects for the department. Is responsible for scheduling meetings, notifying participants of changes in location or times, documenting minutes and distribution of minutes. Maintains outlook calendars, contact information and acts as a conduit for information. Projects an image of professionalism in communication, appearance and conduct. Performs other duties as assigned. Supports the mission and vision of the organization. Essential Functions:Responsible for the accurate and timely initiation and completion of Human Resources related functions that include position control log, hiring, termination, payroll, disciplinary action documentation, licensure/certification and follow up.Responsible for the accurate and timely organization and submission of documents/forms/data and spreadsheets for projects.Maintains a cost effective and organized method for inventory control, distribution and accountability.Assesses and analyzes time and attendance.Provides statistical and financial data as requested.Maintains files and projects in an organized, easily retrieved and efficient manner.Designs, formats, revises and stores forms.Collaborates with meeting leaders to prepare materials for meetings, agendas,and minutes.Maintains a high level of accuracy and completeness in all work.Effectively manages calendar to support a smooth working day.Makes arrangements for travel, accommodations and conferences as directed.Projects an image of professionalism and caring in all verbal and written communication.Exercises authority when appropriate, recognizing need and directing activities to organizational goal achievement,Uses initiative to resolve problems with appropriate action and follow through and effectively manages time. Communicate s and works with leadership in a timely manner, when data or resources are unavailable.Participates in PI activities as needed.Performs other duties as assigned.Clinical Care: Ensure that quality patient care is delivered to all patients on a 24 hour basis, and the unit is maintained in accordance with professional and regulatory standards and the philosophy and goals of Hoag.
Required Skills & Experience: -Minimum 3 years’ experience in Human Resources. -2 years’ experience in Compensation. -Competent in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) -Strong knowledge of state & federal Wage & Hour laws -Strong knowledge of performance management theory and practice -Project management experience and the ability to lead large projects -Proven ability to consult/influence/negotiate with leadership in implementation of compensation policies and practices. Recent experience in a healthcare setting. Human resources experience/background. Required: Demonstrates effective communication, interpersonal skills, organizational ability, MS Business Office proficiency, knowledge of proper body mechanics, safety measures and infection control, ability to follow instructions, knowledge of section specific test information and instrumentation may be required. Computer skills, familiarity with standard office equipment. High degree of organizational skills. Able to set assignment priorities, work independently within established guidelines and maintain confidentiality.
